The Domestic Violence Coordinating Council was jointly created by the City of Tallahassee and Leon County Commissions to ensure that our area continues to have a well-coordinated community response to domestic violence.
Mission Statement: To promote zero tolerance to domestic violence in our community through education, prevention, and accessible, coordinated intervention strategies focused on victim safety and offender accountability.
About Us
Each month the DVCC meeting welcomes representatives from all agencies, advocates, and groups working with domestic violence survivors or perpetrators.
Together we review our individual protocols and procedures, and work to close any gaps in services as we strive to protect past, present, and future victims of domestic violence in our community.
The monthly DVCC meeting is Tallahassee’s only regular coalition of domestic violence service providers and welcomes all who would like to participate.
The DVCC also hosts a wide variety of public education and awareness programs.
